Britain finalizes departure date from EU
House of Commons |
The British House of Commons officials on Tuesday affirmed March 29, 2019 as the nation's Brexit date, dismissing a House of Lords move to change the date.
The move came as British Prime Minister Theresa May warded off a test to remove the takeoff date from her hands.
Associates in the House of Lords had revised the pivotal Exiting the EU enactment that would have enabled parliament to favor a leave date, evacuating the administration's settled date of March 29, 2019.
By 326 votes to 301, the House of Commons dismissed the measure, leaving the administration's unique timetable set up.
