Senator Melaye tackles Police Spokesperson plus surprise appearance

The Senate plenary meeting on Tuesday was put on shock by the appearance of one of the senators, Senator Dino Melaye (APC, Kogi).
This came as it had been believed that the said senator had travelled out of the country in fears of the court injunctions against him. A news article reported that Senator Dino Melaye had pleaded alliance with the Senate president, Bukola Saraki for defense against the charges.
On Saturday senator Dino Melaye debunked the information, claiming all to be stunts against his personality, why will he (Melaye) travel out of the country for such reasons.
On his part, the Police Spokesperson Jimoh Moshood also on Saturday said the court had issued a summon and invitation to Senator Dino Melaye which according to him the senator dishonoured.
Reports are that the Senator in question is in connection with some criminal acts in Kogi state.
Inquiries prove same that the said Senator was in responsible for the supply of fire arms to criminals for operation in the state.
Meanwhile the senator on Tuesday
made the claims by the police spokesperson an exercise in futility.
He (Melaye) did so while contributing to the point raised by senator Isa Misau (APC, Bauchi) requesting the Senate to look into the fragger between Senator Melaye and the police.
