Perry told the Press Association at the Kerrang! Honors in London that it has been "a great deal of fun" visiting with Depp.
"I don't think he'd be up on the phase with me and Alice and alternate felines on the off chance that he wasn't holding his own particular as he does."
He included: "He's extremely a decent player. He's an artist completely.
"I don't consider him a performing artist. He's a guitar player."
The artist was given the Kerrang! Motivation grant by Depp, who said it was a respect to introduce the prize to the man who enlivened him to get a guitar in any case.
